Our range of beautiful Bashiri baskets are hand crafted by local artisans in the West African region of Ghana and surrounds. The art of basket weaving is a familial craft, handed down from one generation to the next.
The raw material - elephant grass, from which they are made grows abundantly in the floodplains of Bolgatanga in Northern Ghana and is a 100% sustainable, natural material.
Fully malleable and easy to reshape, simply immerse in water for a few minutes and adjust while wet. AÂ care and shaping guide is included to keep your basket looking its best.
